Accessibility Statement

This site is meant to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

The standard we build to

This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act in practice, and it is the target the site was designed against rather than retrofitted to.

What that means here, specifically

• Text scales. Type sizes are set in relative units, so increasing your browser or system font size enlarges the site rather than breaking it.
• It works without a mouse. Every link, button and form field can be reached and operated by keyboard, and the focused element is given a visible outline so you can see where you are.
• Motion is optional. The site has one animation — sections fading in as you scroll. If your device is set to reduce motion, that is switched off automatically and all content appears immediately.
• It works without JavaScript. Content is visible by default; script only enhances it. If scripting fails or is disabled, nothing is hidden.
• Images are described. Every illustration has alternative text describing what it depicts, and is captioned as an illustration so it is never mistaken for a photograph of a real property.
• Forms are properly labelled. Each field has a real label associated with it, so screen readers announce what is being asked.
• Light and dark both work. The site follows your system colour preference, and the colours were chosen to hold contrast in both.
• Structure is meaningful. Headings are used in order to describe the page, not for visual effect, so a screen reader can navigate by them.

Known limitations

An honest accessibility statement names what is not finished.

• Property search is currently provided by Armada Real Estate on their own website. That search is a third-party product and its accessibility is outside this site’s control.
• When MLS listing search is added here in future, it will come from a third-party provider whose markup we do not author. We will test it and report anything we cannot fix.

Tell us if something does not work

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please say so — it will be treated as a fault to be fixed, not a feature request. Get in touch through the contact page and describe what happened, what you were trying to do, and what you were using at the time.

If you cannot use the contact form, that is itself a problem worth knowing about, and any other route you can reach David by is equally welcome.

Getting the information another way

If there is something on this site you cannot access, David will provide the same information by phone, email, or in person. No one should have to miss out on a property because of how a website is built.
